PurposeMetabolic / Weight
MechanismPan-agonist of the estrogen-related receptors ERRα/β/γ; induces the acute aerobic-exercise transcriptional programme in skeletal muscle in an ERRα-dependent way.
EffectsStudied as an "exercise mimetic". In mice, raised energy expenditure and fatty-acid oxidation, less fat-mass accumulation and improved insulin sensitivity.
DosingNo human dose established.
Bottom linePreclinical only — every published result is from mice.
